Route per school

The receiving education office and school decide on recognition and grade placement. This is reference information from official sources.

Parlin School2024–2026
This school is on the MOE simplified list (as of 2025-04-11). Submit principal-issued enrolment, transcript and graduation documents with the education office's confirmation form; no apostille or consular confirmation.
Documents to prepare
- Certificate of enrolment (2024–2026, grades and dates, signed or stamped by the principal)
- Transcript — school year 2024
- Transcript — school year 2025
- Transcript — school year 2026
- Translation (documents not in Korean or English only) — A notarised translation is needed.
- Education office confirmation form (MOE-list schools, with the principal-issued documents)

Usually submitted too. Check the final list in your local education office's re-entry notice.

Before you leave

Step 1 of 7

1.A month before leaving, ask the school for original enrolment, transcript (including the last term) and graduation documents.
2.Check that each document shows the grades and dates and the principal's signature or stamp.
3.Apostille or consular confirmation is easier while you are still in the country; afterwards you need post or an agent.
4.Arrange notarised translations for documents not in Korean or English.
5.Scan everything into the document vault and keep the originals apart.
6.Keep the school office's contact so you can order more copies later.
7.Check your local education office's re-entry notice and dates.

Good to know

· Only time at a regular school abroad of at least one term (6 months) counts. Kindergarten and language courses do not.
· The MOE list simplifies paperwork; it does not vouch for quality and does not apply to university admission.
· Education offices spot-check documents; forged or altered documents cancel the transfer.
