Terms of service

Effective 2026-11-08 · Version 2026-11-08.v3

Company details (legal name, representative, address, business registration number and privacy officer) will be confirmed before the official launch and added here at once.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These terms set out the rights, duties and responsibilities of UNFOLD ("we") and users in relation to GoSam (https://www.gosam.io and its messenger channels, the "Service").

Article 2 (Definitions)

  • "User" means a member or visitor who uses the Service under these terms.
  • "Member" means a person who agreed to these terms and to the processing of personal information and created an account; a "visitor" uses the Service without an account.
  • "Sam" means the AI advisor that answers from the school information and guides in our database.
  • "AI panel" means reference content in the form of discussions between fictional people written by AI; it is not real people's reviews.
  • "Post" means text, questions, photos or material a user puts on the Service.
  • "School staff", "company admin" and "local partner" mean members who passed our checks to use the school portal, company workspaces or the local partner features.

Article 3 (Publication and changes)

We show these terms at the bottom of every page and on the sign-up screen.

We may change these terms within the limits of Korean law, including the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce and the Network Act.

We announce changes with the effective date and reasons 7 days in advance, and 30 days in advance (with an individual email to members) for changes that are unfavourable or important.

If you do not agree with the changed terms you may close your account. If the announcement clearly said that not objecting by the effective date counts as agreement and you did not object, you are treated as having agreed.

Article 4 (Other rules)

Matters not covered here follow the relevant laws and any operating policies we post in the Service. If an operating policy conflicts with these terms, these terms prevail.

Article 5 (Membership)

You become a member when, being 14 or older, you agree to these terms, to the collection and use of personal information and to its transfer abroad, and complete email verification or social sign-in.

We may refuse or later end membership if you used someone else's information, entered false information, previously lost membership for breaching these terms, or clearly intend to break the law or these terms.

Article 6 (Children under 14)

Children under 14 cannot become members. A parent or guardian who is a member enters the information needed to find schools (such as a child's birth year and grade); we never collect a child's name, contact details or photo.

Article 7 (Your details and your account)

You can check and update your details on My page and should keep them up to date; we are not responsible for problems caused by out-of-date details.

Keep your account and password safe and do not let others use them. Tell us at once if you find your account has been misused.

Article 8 (Closing an account and loss of membership)

You can ask to close your account at any time via support@gowith-demo.vercel.app or any method the Service offers; we handle it without delay. What happens to your information afterwards is set out in the privacy policy.

If you do anything prohibited by Article 18, we may restrict your use or end your membership after notice, or first act and notify you afterwards in urgent cases.

Article 9 (Notices)

We notify members by their registered email or in-service notifications. Notices to all members may instead be posted in the Service for at least 7 days.

Article 10 (What the Service offers)

  • Searching, saving, comparing and mapping international and other schools abroad
  • The Sam AI advisor; receiving and passing on school enquiries and tour requests
  • Readiness checks (bridge check) with reports; university pathway guidance
  • Guides, school events, city information, tuition conversion and past exchange-rate simulations
  • Community (members' questions and the AI panel), messenger channel chats
  • School portal, company workspaces and local partner introductions

Article 11 (Nature and sources of information)

School information comes from schools' official websites, official registers and publications of governments and accreditation bodies, and what schools enter themselves; we show the source and the date it was checked. Fees, admission requirements and places change, so always confirm with the school before applying.

Prices or programmes not yet confirmed are marked 'example' or 'to be confirmed'. Currency conversions are for reference only; we never forecast exchange rates. Actual remittance rates and fees are set by banks and transfer services.

Some images and videos in the Service may be generated or edited with artificial intelligence (AI) to help explain things; they do not depict a specific school, person or real event. Photos provided by a school and images from a school's own website are shown with their source. We will replace such images with real photos as participation from our community and schools grows.

Article 12 (Using AI features)

Answers from Sam, check results and AI answers in the community are reference information generated by AI and may be wrong or out of date. Confirm with the school and official bodies before important decisions.

AI features do not give verdicts on visas, immigration, tax, medical, psychological or legal matters. Check those with official bodies or qualified professionals.

People and conversations in the AI panel are fictional and are not reviews by real users or schools. We always label them 'AI panel'.

Conversations are sent to our AI provider to generate answers, as explained in the privacy policy. Do not enter other people's personal information or sensitive information into a chat.

Article 13 (Readiness checks)

Checks are reference estimates based on a parent's answers, not medical or psychological diagnoses. The wellbeing check looks at readiness for the move; where there is strong concern we suggest talking to the school counsellor or a professional.

Article 14 (School enquiries and tours)

We receive your request and, after checking it, pass it on to or guide you to the school. We give your question and contact details to the school only if you agreed to share them.

Replies, tour confirmations and admission decisions are the school's; we cannot guarantee them.

Article 15 (Messenger channels)

When you chat via KakaoTalk, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE or another messenger, that messenger's terms also apply. We do not collect contact details in messenger chats; when an enquiry needs them, a one-time link connects the chat to your signed-in account. If you block or unfollow the channel, the reply address is deleted.

Article 16 (School portal, company workspaces, local partners)

School staff can edit school information after confirming their affiliation in the way we specify (such as a school email address) and are responsible for the accuracy of, and rights in, what they upload.

Company admins can invite members with a link and see only totals when at least 3 families agreed to share; never individual answers or details about children.

Only local partners who passed our checks are shown. Work that requires a licence under law, such as real-estate brokerage or visa paperwork, is done only by partners whose licence we checked. Partners must never spend time alone with children without a parent. We help with introductions and do not currently handle payments for partner services.

Article 17 (Changes, interruptions and paid services)

We may change the Service for operational or technical reasons and announce important changes in advance. We may suspend the Service temporarily for maintenance, outages, natural disasters or similar unavoidable reasons.

The Service is currently free. If we introduce paid services we will announce prices, payment and refund terms in advance and ask for separate agreement.

Article 18 (Your obligations and prohibited conduct)

  • Using someone else's information or making enquiries or applications with false information
  • Collecting the Service's information in bulk by automated means, or copying, selling or redistributing it without our permission
  • Defaming schools, other users or partners, or posting fake reviews or advertising
  • Posting other people's personal information, especially a child's name, photo or school
  • Misusing AI features to disrupt the Service or to get around its security
  • Anything contrary to law, these terms or public order and morals

Article 19 (Our obligations)

We follow the law and these terms and work to provide the Service reliably. We protect your personal information under the privacy policy and handle your opinions and complaints promptly.

Article 20 (Posts and rights)

You keep the copyright in your posts. You allow us, free of charge, to show them in the Service, make them searchable and display them in other languages, to the extent needed for that. When you close your account or ask for deletion, we stop using them.

We may decline or hide posts that expose personal information or fall under Article 18, after AI and operator review.

Rights in our own compilations of school information, guides and screen designs belong to us.

Article 21 (Liability and exclusions)

We compensate damage caused by our intent or negligence as the law requires.

Unless we acted intentionally or with gross negligence, we are not liable for the accuracy of information provided or published by schools or institutions, admission outcomes, contracts or dealings between users and schools or partners, decisions made relying only on AI answers without checking, or damage caused by force majeure.

Article 22 (Disputes and jurisdiction)

We take opinions and complaints at support@gowith-demo.vercel.app and handle them first. If a dispute is not resolved you may apply for mediation to a body such as the Korea Consumer Agency.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and the competent court is determined under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.

Addendum: these terms take effect on 2026-11-08. Earlier versions are listed under 'Previous versions' below.

Change note (2026-11-08.v3): Article 11(3) (images and videos made or edited with AI) was added. It is not unfavourable to users, so under Article 3 it is announced 7 days before it takes effect and we do not ask for agreement again.

This English version is provided for users of every language other than Korean. If the Korean and English versions differ, the Korean version prevails to the extent permitted by the law that applies to you.
