Some things Sam cannot do online, like going with you on school tours or opening a phone line and bank account in your first week. This programme connects you with Korean residents and parents who already live in the city. The beta starts in Bangkok, Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City.

- Community mentor
Parents and alumni living in the city
Answer questions about the city and school life online. They do not meet families in person.
- Local partner
Verified Korean residents and parents
School tour accompaniment and interpreting, sitting in on school meetings, airport pickup, help opening phone and bank accounts, neighbourhood walks.
- Licensed partner
Locally registered or licensed companies and professionals
Work that needs a licence: rental brokerage, visa and immigration paperwork, international moving, guardianship and homestay.
Safety rules
- No time alone with children. A parent or guardian is present whenever a partner meets a family.
- Local partners never do licensed work. Housing brokerage, visa and immigration advice or paperwork, moving and guardianship go only to licensed partners whose registration we checked.
- Contact details are shared only after a match, and only what is needed. We ask for details about a child only when the request truly needs them.
- Partners work independently. Having the right to do this work locally and paying local taxes is the partner's own responsibility.
- If anything goes wrong or feels uncomfortable, tell us right away. We pause the partner while we look into it.
How we verify
- Identity and contact
We confirm identity with an official ID and check that email and phone really reach the person. We record the result only, never ID numbers or copies.
- Local residence
Partners who meet families must show they actually live in the city.
- Criminal record check
Partners who meet families in person provide a criminal record certificate from a local authority.
- Video interview
The founder or an advisory board member meets each partner on video to talk through experience and our rules.
- Licence check
For licensed partners we confirm each registration or licence with the issuing body, service by service. Only checked services are shown.
- Trial period
The first few jobs after verification are trial jobs; the trial label comes off after we read the feedback.
