Schooling

Education: some international schools are set up by their own law

The Philippines sets up some international schools by statute. Republic Act 12264, approved on 2025-09-05, lets Singapore School Manila admit students of any nationality and set its curriculum after consulting DepEd, while one foreign nationality may not exceed a third of students (dependants of diplomats and temporary residents excepted). As of 2026-10-30 our directory lists 48 schools in this city (still growing).

  • Set up by individual statutes
  • One-third cap per nationality, with exceptions

Airport and travel

Airport transport: NAIA has no rail link

The NAIA guide (updated 2026-05-19) says no train reaches the terminals, so travellers use ride-hailing apps such as Grab, the UBE Express airport bus, airport taxis or private transfers. It recommends ride-hailing for first-time arrivals with luggage and checking the plate before boarding; beware of taxi scams.

  • No rail link
  • Ride-hailing suggested for families
